Nifty gained 35 points and end at 18232.Banknifty also gained 222 points(.5 pct) and closed 43425.The day was quite volatile oscillating between green and red colour but Banknifty was strong throughout the day amid volatility.Today Banking and financial shares were among the top gainers in Nifty with HDFC LIFE,SBI LIFE and AXIS BANK in top 3 whereas the top looser in NIFTY were HINDALCO,JSW STEEL and BRITANIA.Sah polymer IPO on its 3ed day subscribed by 4.33 times.
